Carolina Spring Tour Registration

 

The Hmong Student Association of Carolina invites you to our Carolina Spring Tour on April 2nd, 2022. This year, we will be collaborating with the Hmong Student Association of NC State in order to bring you the opportunity of touring both The University of North Carolina @ Chapel Hill and the NC State University campuses. Join us for an adventure as you explore the beautiful campuses of UNC and NC state, learn all the ins and outs of college, and get a taste of campus life and culture.

There is a $5 registration fee; you may choose to pay via Venmo, check, or cash.

Also, if you choose to pay your fees by cash/check and don’t mail them to us, you may pay on the day of the tour as well.

Transportation Info:

We provide free transportation via bus!!! As much as we would like to be able to provide transportation to all students attending, we are limiting ourselves to 40 students this year. As of such, the first 40 applicants will be given priority for transportation. If you are still interested in attending our tour, you may still apply and attend, but will have to have some other means of traveling and arriving on time to UNC, and NC State.

 

Pick Up Location: Bunker Hill High School @ 5 AM

Arrival at UNC: 8 AM

Departure and arrival at NC State: 1-2 PM

Drop Off Location: Bunker Hill High School @ 10 PM

 

Quick Facts About the Tour and Registration:

  1. You must have parental consent if under the age of 18. Moreover, everyone must fill out a registration form, liability consent and COVID-19 liability form and it must be postmarked/stamped and sent in by March 28th.
  2. A negative COVID-19 test has to be provided 72 hours before the tour. We will take either PCR or rapid testing results. If you are submitting a home rapid test, please send two test results, as rapid testing is not as reliable as PCR. If you are unable to provide one, you will be unable to attend. Your COVID-19 test results should be sent to unchmong@gmail.com.
  3. Students who want to ride the bus from Bunker Hill must register by March 24th and board the bus at 5 AM.
  4. Lunch is paid for! Enjoy some tasty university dining hall food.
  5. Sadly, dinner is not. We will be eating dinner on Hillsborough street at NC State’s campus! Bring an extra $10-$15 for dinner and a little more if you want to buy souvenirs to bring back home.
  6. Both campuses are huge and there’s a lot to see, so wear some comfy walking shoes. Please also get a good night’s rest as the day starts SUPER EARLY at 8 AM (you board the bus at 5 AM).
  7. IT’S FUN! Our goal is to inspire YOU and to get YOU here–along with all your friends. So ask us questions and enjoy!

Checklist for Full Registration:

  1. Fill out our form below and if under 18 years old, parents must electronically sign the liability and COVID-19 forms.
  2. Send an image of the participant’s negative PCR or rapid test for COVID-19 72 hours prior to April 2nd to unchmong@gmail.com. If you plan to take the home rapid test for COVID-19, please send in two tests for higher accuracy.
